The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in Doha recently distributed 4,500 gifts to children as part of their ‘Joy of Eid’ programme. The gifts were given out at 30 Eid prayer grounds across the country, thanks to the support of the waqf fund for the family and childhood. This initiative aims to bring happiness to children and their families, as endowments are seen as a form of social partnership. Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, the Director General of the General Directorate of Endowments, emphasized the importance of spreading joy during Eid, highlighting the positive reception of the gifts by children.

The waqf fund for the family and childhood was established with the goal of strengthening family bonds, providing a healthy environment for child upbringing, supporting beneficial projects and programs, and instilling values and ethics in the younger generation. By promoting these values, the General Directorate of Endowments hopes to contribute to the well-being and development of families and children in the community. They encourage individuals who are interested in making charitable contributions to endowment funds to do so through approved channels and means, in order to ensure transparency and accountability in the process.

The distribution of gifts during Eid celebrations not only brings happiness to children but also serves noble purposes and higher goals, according to Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani. It is seen as a way to honor the spirit of Eid, which is meant to be a joyous occasion for all. By spreading joy and generosity, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in Qatar. This initiative reflects the Directorate’s commitment to promoting social partnerships and giving back to the community.

The ‘Joy of Eid’ programme organized by the General Directorate of Endowments is just one example of their efforts to support the well-being of families and children in Qatar. By distributing gifts through the waqf fund for the family and childhood, they are able to provide support to those in need and create a sense of community and solidarity during the holiday season. This initiative also aligns with the goals of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs to promote ethical values and strengthen social bonds in Qatari society.

Through the distribution of gifts and the support of charitable initiatives, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs aims to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in Qatar. By encouraging charitable contributions to endowment funds and promoting social partnerships, they hope to create a culture of giving and generosity within the community. This initiative serves as a reminder of the importance of sharing blessings and spreading joy during special occasions like Eid, and demonstrates the commitment of the General Directorate of Endowments to making a difference in the lives of those in need.
