Milipol Qatar kicks off with participation from more than 250 companies

The 15th edition of the Milipol Qatar Exhibition and Conference was inaugurated by Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force H E Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani under the patronage of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC). The event, organised by the Ministry of Interior, brings together ministers, officials, police chiefs, ambassadors, specialists, and leading international companies in the field of internal security and safety. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the latest equipment, services, and systems aimed at enhancing internal security and preventing crime.

The exhibition features over 250 international and national companies in an area of 23,000 square metres, as well as six major international pavilions showcasing the Ministry of Interior’s fleet of vehicles. With the theme “Technology in the Service of Security,” Milipol Qatar highlights Qatar’s commitment to advancing technological capabilities to address global security challenges and support the country’s security needs in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. The event also includes seminars on cybersecurity, civil defence, airport security, and border security, with presentations on artificial intelligence and smart technologies.

The three-day event provides a platform for governments, sector leaders, and security experts to engage with high-level delegations and military leaders. The conference sessions and panel discussions cover current trends and challenges in security, offering valuable insights from thought leaders in the field. With a record attendance of over 350 official delegations expected, Milipol Qatar serves as a key global gathering for the security industry, facilitating contracts and agreements with companies and strengthening business relationships in the Middle East market.

Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani emphasized the importance of the exhibition and conference in bringing together key stakeholders in the security sector, including government officials, security agencies, and industrial and research institutions. The event provides a platform to showcase the latest innovations in internal security and safety, promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing among industry experts. With a focus on technology and innovation, Milipol Qatar aims to address the evolving security landscape and enhance the country’s security capabilities.

The exhibition also highlights the role of advanced technologies in enhancing internal security, with a focus on prevention and protection from crimes. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the features of new security systems, their integration, and their impact on enhancing security operations. As Qatar continues to invest in cutting-edge technologies to address security challenges, Milipol Qatar serves as a valuable platform for showcasing innovative products and services in the global security market. The event offers a unique opportunity for companies to explore new contacts, strengthen business relationships, and showcase their capabilities to a global audience.
