Both sides also discussed collaborating on humanitarian and development projects in Afghanistan.

In another meeting on the sidelines of the forum, Minister Al Khater met with Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, a member of the British House of Lords from the Conservative Party. They discussed recent developments in the Gaza Strip and occupied Palestinian territories, as well as ways to combat Islamophobia. The meeting also covered various topics of mutual interest. The Ambassador of Qatar to the United Kingdom, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, was also present at the meeting.

The meeting with Baroness Sayeeda Warsi touched on the sensitive issue of Islamophobia and how it can be addressed through dialogue and understanding. Both Qatar and the UK recognize the importance of promoting religious tolerance and combating discriminatory attitudes. The exchange of ideas between Minister Al Khater and Baroness Warsi reflects a shared commitment to fostering peace and harmony in the region.

The presence of Ambassador Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani at these meetings demonstrates Qatar’s dedication to strengthening diplomatic ties with the UK and other international partners. Through these high-level discussions, Qatar seeks to play a constructive role in addressing global challenges and promoting cooperation on humanitarian and development initiatives. The engagement of Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation in these forums underscores the country’s commitment to making a positive impact on the world stage.

Overall, Qatar’s participation in the International Humanitarian Forum in London has provided valuable opportunities for dialogue and collaboration with international partners.
