Lusail University celebrated the graduation of its first batch of students at the Qatar National Convention Center, honoring the top graduates and recognizing their outstanding academic achievements. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including the Minister of Labour, Minister of Justice, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lusail University. The total number of graduates in the first batch reached 298 students, with 193 female and 105 male graduates from the Colleges of Education and Arts, Business and Commerce, and Law. The President of Lusail University highlighted the institution’s commitment to providing high-quality academic education and implementing initiatives to enrich scientific knowledge and enhance the university’s position globally.

The university has also strengthened its Arabic language programme for non-native speakers to promote the language and foster communication between different cultures. Graduating students Khalid Maqdad and Noora Al Emadi shared their university experiences and the challenges they faced, turning them into opportunities for growth. The Vice-President for Student Affairs expressed her joy in seeing the graduates stepping towards their promising professional futures, highlighting the university’s focus on character development, skill enhancement, and preparation for their careers. The Minister of Education and Higher Education was presented with a Lusail University plaque in appreciation of her support and efforts in promoting academic excellence.

The ceremony honored sponsoring entities that supported Lusail University students and contributed to their success. The Minister of Education and Higher Education recognized the top graduates, 39 female and 16 male students, for their academic achievements. The ceremony also included graduates from Sorbonne University in Qatar, with participation from officials of the prestigious French university. Additionally, the event saw the launch of the Lusail University Alumni Association, aiming to connect and support graduates in their post-graduate endeavors.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lusail University and other dignitaries highlighted the importance of providing high-quality education that meets the needs of the labor market and the requirements of the modern era. The President of Lusail University emphasized the successful implementation of the strategic plan and the significant research output by faculty members. The university has also established Lusail Publishing House to publish research and scientific works, contributing to the enrichment of scientific knowledge both locally and globally.

Students expressed gratitude for the outstanding university experience, praising the quality education and student activities that supported their personal and professional growth. The Vice-President for Student Affairs commended the graduates for their determination and perseverance in overcoming challenges and reaching their academic goals. The event concluded with the presentation of a Lusail University plaque to the Minister of Education and Higher Education, acknowledging her continuous support and dedication to promoting academic excellence.

Overall, the graduation ceremony at Lusail University was a celebration of academic achievement, highlighting the institution’s commitment to providing high-quality education, fostering research, and preparing students for successful professional futures. The event recognized the outstanding achievements of the graduates and honored the supporting entities that contributed to their success.
