The Cultural Village Foundation in Doha, Qatar recently opened an art exhibition titled “City of Memories” by Bangladeshi artist Kazi Salahuddin Ahmed. The exhibition, which runs until January 7, offers a unique experience that transports visitors to the heart of “Old Dhaka” through contemporary artworks. The artist’s work reflects his experience of living in the historical area of Old Dhaka, showcasing the rich heritage and culture of the region. His paintings highlight the deep connection between residents and their architectural surroundings, bringing to life the spirit of community harmony and integration.

The exhibition opening was attended by various dignitaries, including the Deputy General Manager and Director of Human Resources of Katara, as well as the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Qatar. The event marks the celebration of 50 years of friendly relations between Bangladesh and Qatar, highlighting the depth of cultural ties between the two countries. The Ambassador praised Katara for its support in fostering cultural exchange and for providing a global platform that brings together diverse cultures and arts from around the world. He emphasized that the exhibition is not only a celebration of artistic creativity but also a powerful message about the strong connection between heritage and society.

Artist Kazi Salahuddin Ahmed shared that his exhibition draws inspiration from his childhood memories and daily life in Old Dhaka.
