Mowasalat Co. (Karwa) and Uber have joined forces to bring Karwa Taxis to the Uber platform in Qatar, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. This partnership aims to enhance the mobility landscape in the country by providing a new, affordable, and convenient way to travel through the Uber app. By integrating Mowasalat Co. (Karwa)’s Public Transport Taxi fleet into the Uber platform, residents and tourists in Qatar will have more travel options, making the transport network more efficient.

The collaboration between Mowasalat Co. (Karwa) and Uber highlights the power of public-private partnerships in shaping the future of mobility. With more cars available on the platform, ride-sharing becomes more efficient, offering faster pickups, more affordable, and more reliable rides for users. Nasser Mamdouh M Al Shammari, Light Transport Services Director at Mowasalat Co. (Karwa), stated that this partnership is a significant step towards providing advanced and sustainable public transport solutions in Qatar, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.

Uber’s General Manager for Qatar, UAE, and Jordan, Pia El Hachem, expressed excitement about the collaboration with Mowasalat Co. (Karwa) and emphasized Uber’s commitment to partnering with cities to enhance earning opportunities for drivers and improve access to transport for riders. The partnership aims to drive innovation in the mobility sector while fostering trust and cooperation between the two companies. Additionally, as part of the collaboration, Mowasalat Co. (Karwa) will introduce premium vehicles and electric vehicles onto the Uber platform under Uber Black, aligning with Uber’s goal to become an emission-free mobility platform globally by 2040.

Starting from May 26, Karwa Taxi trips can be requested through the Uber app in Qatar, adding to the existing line-up of products available in the country. This new taxi service provides users with the convenience of requesting a taxi at their fingertips, further enhancing the overall transport experience in Qatar. With the integration of Karwa Taxis into the Uber platform, riders can expect a seamless and efficient transportation experience, contributing to the broader goals of enhancing mobility and sustainability in the country.

In conclusion, the partnership between Mowasalat Co. (Karwa) and Uber signifies a significant milestone in advancing the transportation sector in Qatar. By leveraging technology and innovation, the collaboration aims to provide a more sustainable and efficient mobility landscape, benefitting both residents and tourists in the country. With a focus on environmentally-friendly practices and enhanced user experience, the introduction of Karwa Taxis on the Uber platform is set to transform the way people travel in Qatar, supporting the vision of a more connected and sustainable future.
