Italian Professor honored at E-Mobility Forum

The Autonomous E Mobility Forum Gala Dinner held on May 1 in Doha, Qatar, saw the Ambassador of Italy to the State of Qatar, H E Paolo Toschi, awarding Prof. Sergio Savaresi of Polytechnic University of Milan with the AEMOB Tech Innovation Excellence Award. This award was presented in recognition of the outstanding results achieved by Prof. Savaresi in the field of autonomous electric mobility. Prof. Savaresi, who serves as the Deputy Director and Chair of the Systems & Control Section at the Department of Electronics, Computer Sciences and Bioengineering (DEIB) at Politecnico di Milano, delivered a keynote lecture during the forum. Titled “Autonomous Driving: The Hidden Enabling Technology for a Sustainable Electrification,” his lecture focused on the research conducted by his team at Polytechnic University of Milan in the area of autonomous driving.

During his lecture, Prof. Savaresi discussed the various projects his research group has been involved in, including those related to autonomous driving. He also shed light on the potential applications of autonomous driving technology in the realm of sports driving on circuits, emphasizing how it could aid drivers and help prevent accidents.
