GCC housing officials participate in meeting held by MSDF

The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) is teaming up with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to host the 44th meeting of the technical committee on housing affairs in GCC countries. The meeting, to be chaired by Nasser Mehanna Al Mannai, Director of Citizens Housing at MSDF, will focus on the outcomes of the Gulf housing action plan for 2024-2030. Additionally, discussions will revolve around the 2nd Gulf Housing Week and the associated exhibition ‘Build Your Home,’ which is scheduled to take place from May 13-16 in Doha.

According to Al Mannai, the Second Gulf Housing Week underscores the ministry’s commitment to fostering collaboration and exchanging ideas in urban planning, a crucial aspect of city planning and national development. The event aims to achieve various planning objectives, such as enhancing the housing and real estate sector and fostering sustainable economic growth in the region. By bringing together experts, stakeholders, and industry professionals, the 2nd Gulf Housing Week serves as a platform for discussion and innovation in the field of urban development.

The meeting will serve as a platform for attendees to explore innovative strategies and best practices in urban planning, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and long-term growth. By sharing knowledge and expertise, participants have the opportunity to gain new insights and collaborate on solutions to common challenges facing the housing sector in the GCC countries. Discussions will also touch on the latest trends and developments in the housing market, as well as explore opportunities for partnerships and collaborations among industry players.

Through the 2nd Gulf Housing Week and the associated exhibition ‘Build Your Home,’ MSDF and the GCC General Secretariat aim to showcase the latest advancements and innovations in the housing sector, while also providing a platform for networking and collaboration among industry professionals. This event presents a unique opportunity for stakeholders to engage in fruitful discussions, share insights, and explore potential partnerships that can contribute to the growth and development of the housing sector in the GCC countries.
