The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has teamed up with the Oxford Royale Institution to bring students a unique and exciting STEM-FD scientific camp at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Scheduled to take place from July 14 to 27, 2024, this camp aims to enhance students’ science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills in a fun and engaging way. By participating in scientific experiments and hands-on activities, students will not only develop their skills but also discover their passion for science.
During the camp, students will have the invaluable opportunity to learn directly from experts in the scientific field. These experts will share their knowledge and experiences, creating a stimulating environment that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, students will have the chance to interact with international students who share similar interests, fostering linguistic and cultural communication.
Prior to the start of the camp, students and parents participated in orientation meetings to review travel arrangements, camp policies, and address any questions they had. The organizing team also met with several other camp organizers in the United Kingdom to ensure that the STEM-FD camp offered the best possible program for students. Students expressed their excitement for the camp, seeing it as a crucial step in preparing them for university and an opportunity to make friends with students from around the world.
Overall, the STEM-FD scientific camp promises to be an enriching experience for students, providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in STEM fields. By participating in engaging activities and learning from experts in the field, students will be well-equipped to tackle challenges and further their passion for science. This camp not only focuses on academic growth but also encourages students to form international friendships and develop their communication skills. With the support of the MoEHE and the Oxford Royale Institution, this camp is set to be a transformative experience for all participants.
