The Behavioural Healthcare Center (Daam) and the Social Development Center (NAMA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, have launched a summer training programme titled “Gain Me Experience” for young individuals aged 15 to 20. The programme aims to enhance the societal responsibility of youth by engaging them in volunteering activities and improving psychological, social, and behavioural aspects of the community. This initiative aims to build a society based on constructive values and strengthen the social and positive role of youth.
One of the main objectives of the programme is to increase the youth’s awareness of social work and encourage them to serve society. It also aims to protect the society from behavioural aberrations through a variety of practical activities and training workshops such as youth and society and Badir Workshops. The Director of Community Awareness at Daam, Jawaher Abu Alfain, emphasizes the importance of participating in summer activities to promote positive morals and values among the youth and to invest in their leisure time with beneficial programs.
The programme seeks to build a balanced character among the youth and guide their behavioural reactions towards a positive direction. It also focuses on training them on teamwork and developing their diverse skills. Daam is committed to highlighting the significant role that youth play in society by engaging them in training programs and volunteering activities. This involvement will not only help them achieve their future goals but also protect them from engaging in negative behaviours.
By participating in the “Gain Me Experience” programme, young individuals have the opportunity to contribute positively to society and make a meaningful impact through their involvement in various activities. Through volunteering and training programs, they can develop essential skills, enhance their awareness of social issues, and cultivate a sense of responsibility towards the community. This initiative aims to create a generation of youth who are socially conscious, compassionate, and actively engaged in building a better society.
