The Doha Photography Festival, organized by the Qatar Photography Center under the Ministry of Culture, was inaugurated by Minister of Culture HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani on November 8. The festival, part of the cultural season activities, will run until November 13 and feature participation from 8 international companies specializing in photography cameras. The event, held opposite Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal, was attended by various government officials and dignitaries.
The festival includes personal and group exhibitions of old photos and cameras, a dedicated space for film images, and a main theater for lectures and seminars by international photographers. Workshops and interactive platforms for the public are also being organized. Dr. Ghanem bin Mubarak Al Ali, Assistant Undersecretary for Cultural Affairs at the Ministry of Culture, highlighted the festival’s goal of promoting photography as a means of expression, documentation, and inspiration.
