The inaugural Dialogue on Business and Human Rights in the Arab Region concluded successfully in Doha, Qatar, with NHRC Chairperson H E Maryam bint Abdullah Al Attiyah addressing the concluding ceremony. During the two-day open dialogue, participants discussed integrating human rights with business interests in a sector that impacts millions in the Arab region. The Chairperson expressed gratitude to all involved in the event and highlighted the collaborative work done to identify challenges and propose solutions to enhance and safeguard human rights within the business context. Recommendations made at the conclusion of the dialogue included emphasizing progress in implementing the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in the Arab region.
