Amir issues directive to reorganize Qatar Museums Board of Trustees

The Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, recently issued an official resolution restructuring the Board of Trustees of the Qatar Museums Authority. The new Board will be chaired by Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, with Her Excellency Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater serving as Vice-Chairman. The Board will also include several other prominent members, such as Dr. Saad bin Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Muhannadi and Mishal bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud. The resolution will come into effect immediately and has been published in the Official Gazette.

This restructuring of the Qatar Museums Authority’s Board of Trustees is an important development for the cultural sector in Qatar. Under the leadership of Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, the Board will continue to oversee and support the various museums and cultural institutions in the country.
