HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, the Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar, recently met with the Palestinian Ministers of Planning and International Cooperation and Palestinian Relief Affairs during their visit to the country. The discussions focused on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, including Israeli violations in the West Bank and the freezing of Palestinian Authority funds by Israeli occupation authorities.

During the meeting, HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater expressed Qatar’s condemnation of the genocide in the Gaza Strip and Israeli violations of international laws in the West Bank, occupied Jerusalem, and all Palestinian territories. Qatar reiterated its unwavering support for the Palestinian people in all occupied Palestinian territories, denouncing the Israeli policies of displacement, settlement, and economic restrictions.

Qatar has consistently stood in solidarity with the Palestinian people, advocating for their rights and condemning the violence and injustices perpetrated against them by the Israeli occupation authorities. The meeting between the Qatari and Palestinian officials further highlighted the importance of international cooperation and support in addressing the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and the plight of Palestinians living under occupation in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministers expressed their gratitude for Qatar’s continued support and solidarity, emphasizing the need for increased international pressure on Israel to end its violations of international law and uphold the rights of the Palestinian people. The Qatari officials reaffirmed their commitment to providing assistance to the Palestinian people, including humanitarian aid and support for development projects in the region.

The discussions also touched on the urgent need for a just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. Qatar and Palestine stressed the importance of international efforts to end the occupation and achieve a comprehensive peace agreement that respects the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people.

HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater reiterated Qatar’s support for the Palestinian cause and its commitment to working towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict. The meeting between the Qatari and Palestinian officials underscored the shared commitment to upholding international law and promoting justice and human rights for all, particularly in the context of the ongoing challenges facing the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom and self-determination.
