In response to the growing demand for physiotherapy services in the northern region of Qatar, Hamad Medical Corporation’s Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital has announced the opening of a new Physiotherapy Outpatient Department for male patients. This expansion reflects the hospital’s commitment to providing specialized care and improving accessibility for patients in need of physiotherapy services. The new facility, which opens on July 28, 2024, aims to reduce waiting times, enhance the quality of care, and increase patient satisfaction.

Statistics show that there is a significant need for physiotherapy services in the region, with around 60% of patients being male. The Director of Rehabilitation Services, Ms. Refaa Al Enazi, stated that the new department will provide comprehensive physiotherapy services utilizing the latest technology and staffed by highly qualified physiotherapists. The goal is to improve physical performance and ensure the fastest possible recovery for patients in need of rehabilitation.

Dr. Ibrahim Mohd. Fawzy M A Hassan, the Medical Director of Aisha Al Attiya Hospital, emphasized the importance of this expansion in providing high-quality healthcare to the community. By offering convenient and comprehensive care, the hospital aims to improve health outcomes and meet the needs of its patients. The opening of the male physiotherapy department represents a significant advancement in the hospital’s commitment to patient care and will set a new standard for rehabilitation services in the region.

Dr. Hanadi Alhamad, Deputy Chief for Long Term Care, Rehabilitation, Home Care Services & Geriatric Care at Hamad Medical Corporation, highlighted the hospital’s dedication to offering tailored, high-quality care to male patients aged 15 and above. The new department will focus on addressing a wide range of conditions, including orthopaedic pre- and post-surgical care, musculoskeletal disorders, and chronic pain management. The hospital plans to further expand its rehabilitation services in the future to meet the growing demand for physiotherapy in the region.

The new male outpatient physiotherapy department at Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital will replace the current service for male patients at Al Khor Hospital. Existing patients will be contacted with information on how to transfer to the new facility. For more information on accessing this service, individuals can contact HMC’s customer service team, Nesma’ak, at 16060. Overall, the opening of this new physiotherapy department represents a significant step forward in improving rehabilitation services and patient care in the northern region of Qatar.
