The 6th Joint Ministerial Meeting of the GCC-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Dialogue in Doha, Qatar, highlighted the effective joint action plan between the GCC countries and the Republic of Turkiye. The meeting emphasized the need for continued cooperation and coordination to achieve security and peace in the region. The State of Qatar expressed its appreciation for the humanitarian and development efforts of Turkiye, especially in the Gaza Strip. Both sides also stressed the importance of ongoing coordination and joint development cooperation, particularly in mediation efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza.

The strategic bilateral relations between the GCC countries and Turkiye are strong and multifaceted, supported by historical, cultural, and religious ties. The cooperation between both sides aims to promote stability, prosperity, and international peace and security. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye highlighted the growth in trade exchange and tourism between Turkiye and the GCC countries, as well as efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation through initiatives like visa waivers and free trade agreements. Turkiye’s ongoing support for the State of Palestine and efforts to pressure Israel to achieve a ceasefire were also highlighted.

Global governance mechanisms have failed to address regional challenges, making regional cooperation crucial in finding solutions to issues like the Palestinian cause. Turkiye emphasized the need to stop Israel’s actions in Gaza, Al Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem, and the West Bank, as well as increase pressure on Israel through various means. Turkiye also announced its support for the State of Palestine and readiness to contribute to the reconstruction of Gaza. The GCC Secretary General underscored the importance of stopping Israeli military operations targeting civilians and denounced the forced displacement and bombing of UN centers in the region.

The joint ministerial meeting between the GCC countries and Turkiye marked a significant step in enhancing cooperation and deepening relations between the two sides. The extension of the joint action plan until 2029 reflects the commitment to working together for the security and stability of the region. The meeting also highlighted the need for continued discussions, strengthened relations, and increased cooperation toward a strategic partnership that covers various areas of common interest. Both sides expressed pride in the historical relations and cultural heritage that underpin their cooperation.

The strong partnership between the GCC countries and Turkiye is further evidenced by the joint efforts to address regional and international political and security challenges. The meeting reflected a shared commitment to achieve common goals and interests within a comprehensive strategic framework. Turkiye’s support for the State of Palestine and efforts to pressure Israel through various means were noted, as well as its readiness to contribute to the reconstruction of Gaza. The ongoing war in the Gaza Strip and its impact on the region were also discussed, with a call to stop the military operations and hold Israel accountable for its violations of international law.

Overall, the 6th Joint Ministerial Meeting of the GCC-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Dialogue underscored the importance of continued cooperation and coordination between the GCC countries and the Republic of Turkiye to achieve security, stability, and peace in the region. The meeting highlighted the strong bilateral relations between the two sides and the need for ongoing efforts to address regional challenges, particularly the Palestinian cause. Turkiye’s support for the State of Palestine and efforts to pressure Israel were acknowledged, as well as the commitment to deepen institutional cooperation and strengthen relations in various fields.
