The National Defence College recently hosted Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League, who delivered a lecture titled “Regional and International Variables and their Impact on Joint Arab Action”. The event was part of the curriculum of the 12th National Defence Course. Rear Admiral Ali Abdullah Al Shidi, Commandant of the National Defence College, welcomed the Secretary-General and expressed his appreciation for his dedication to expanding the knowledge of course participants through his lectures.

During his lecture, the Secretary-General highlighted the current international situation and how it affects joint Arab action. He discussed how regional and international variables and events impact the functioning of the Arab League, as well as the obstacles and incentives for joint Arab action. The lecture also delved into modern technology and its influence on the concepts of war. Participants in the 12th National Defence Course had the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the Secretary-General.
