Al Buraimi Carnival, now in its second edition, is currently taking place at the Al Buraimi Public Park, with activities starting on May 3 and scheduled to end on May 7. The event is being organized by the office of the Governor of Al Buraimi, with the aim of attracting tourists to the region. Salim bin Namshan Al Ka’abi, Director of the events and awareness department, highlighted that the carnival has seen a good turnout of visitors and offers a platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as families to showcase their products.
The carnival features a variety of activities, entertainment and cultural events, including theatrical shows, heritage villages, food corners, competitions, and additional accompanying activities. This year, a total of 40 participants are taking part in the carnival, including event organizers. In the first edition of the carnival, which took place previously, over 25,000 visitors attended the event. The carnival also hosted 70 events with the participation of 15 jobseekers from the Governorate of Al Buraimi. Additionally, there were 33 marketing outlets available for SMEs and 26 outlets for families to promote their products.
The focus of the Al Buraimi Carnival is not only on entertainment but also on promoting local businesses and showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region. The event provides a valuable platform for SMEs to reach a wider audience and increase their visibility. Families participating in the carnival have the opportunity to share their unique products with visitors and gain exposure.
