The 3rd edition of the “Together We Progress” Forum, organized by the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers, has begun its voting stage for the selection of topics to be debated. The forum aims to enhance interaction and communication between the government and society. Voters can participate in the topic selection process through an electronic questionnaire available on the forum’s website. The questionnaire identifies three themes: Economy and Development, Private Sector and Investment, and Development of governorates.

The first theme, “Economy and Development,” includes topics such as the salient features of the 11th Five-Year Plan, economic diversification efforts, and entrepreneurship and local content. The second theme, “Private Sector and Investment,” covers topics like the role of the private sector in generating employment opportunities, investment in future technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), and the efforts of the Oman Investment Authority in developing local and foreign investments. The third theme, “Development of governorates,” focuses on topics related to the local economy, sustainable cities, and urban planning.

The forum aims to bridge the gap between decision-makers and members of society through direct meetings and open dialogue. It provides the public with an opportunity to learn about development policies, programs, and government initiatives, as well as to express their opinions, submit proposals, and share their interests and ideas with officials. The forum creates a participatory environment based on interaction, enabling individuals to engage with government representatives and contribute to the development process.

Voting for the selection of topics will continue until October 23, 2024, allowing participants to have a say in shaping the discussions at the forum. The topics chosen for debate will play a crucial role in addressing key issues related to economic development, the private sector, investment, and the development of governorates in Oman. By involving the public in the topic selection process, the forum ensures that the discussions are relevant and meaningful to the community, fostering a sense of ownership and engagement among citizens.

The “Together We Progress” Forum serves as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and partnership between the government and society. It facilitates the exchange of ideas, information, and experiences, promoting transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in decision-making processes. By encouraging active participation from individuals and groups across various sectors, the forum seeks to build consensus, address challenges, and drive progress towards sustainable development and prosperity in Oman.

Overall, the 3rd edition of the “Together We Progress” Forum offers a valuable opportunity for individuals to engage with government officials, share their perspectives, and contribute to shaping the future of their country. By participating in the topic selection process and attending the forum, participants can play an active role in advancing meaningful discussions, fostering collaboration, and driving positive change in Oman. Don’t miss the chance to have your voice heard and make a difference in your community.
