Oman embraces US President’s proposal for ceasefire in Gaza Strip

The Sultanate of Oman has welcomed President Joe Biden’s initiative for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, along with the cooperation of Qatar and Egypt. In a statement by the Foreign Ministry, Oman expressed its support for efforts to end Israeli aggression and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people. The country called on all parties to positively engage with the initiative to preserve the legitimate rights and aspirations of the Palestinian people. Oman hoped that the ceasefire would lead to a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, allowing for reconstruction and the return to normalcy.
