The Korean Embassy in Oman recently hosted a concert titled ‘Heritage in Harmony’ by the acclaimed band ADG7 (Ak Dan Gwang Chil) at the Oman Auditorium, Al Bustan Palace. This event was part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Oman. The ADG7 band has gained recognition on the international stage with performances at events such as the World Music Expo 2019 and global FEST 2020 since their inception in 2015. The concert was supported by the Oman-Korea Friendship Association and the Korean Association in Oman.
The concert featured a fusion of traditional Korean folk music presented in a modern style, attracting a diverse audience of Omani and international spectators. The musicians from the Oman Centre for traditional Music also collaborated with the Korean band, creating a harmonious exchange of cultural and musical traditions between the two nations. The performances resonated deeply with the spirit of friendship, bringing together people from different backgrounds through the universal language of music. The event was attended by distinguished guests including Eng. Salim Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, Omani dignitaries, representatives from public and private sectors, as well as foreign Ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps.
