The third edition of the “Musandam Winter” tourist season was announced on Thursday, promising a plethora of activities from October 2024 to April 2025. The season will feature cultural and entertainment festivals, sports events, artistic and musical activities, all aimed at promoting tourism, boosting the local economy, and attracting visitors from around the world to Musandam Governorate. Adventure tourism activities such as climbing, mountain hiking, and ziplining, as well as cultural tours, traditional industries, recreational and marine tourism will be on offer for visitors to enjoy.
The announcement was made during a promotional meeting organized by the Musandam Governor’s Office, with the sponsorship of Sayyid Ibrahim bin Saeed Al Busaidi, the Governor of Musandam, at the Muscat W Hotel. The event aims to enhance cooperation between various institutions, open doors for investment opportunities, and provide a platform for small and medium enterprises, productive families, entrepreneurs, and craftsmen to promote and market their products at the governorate level. The season also seeks to increase the number of visitors, activate the role of government and private institutions, and involve civil and voluntary organizations in organizing events.
The Musandam Winter Tourism Season will showcase various activities to educate visitors about the culture, history, and civilization of the governorate, while also offering opportunities for adventure and relaxation. The local Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in Musandam Governorate has been a strategic partner in previous seasons, promoting tourism and supporting small and medium enterprises. The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is preparing an integrated promotional plan to market the upcoming season, focusing on the diverse tourist and heritage landmarks of Musandam Governorate.
The promotional meeting included the signing of cooperation and partnership agreements between the Musandam Governor’s Office and government as well as private sectors. The event also honored entities, partners, and sponsors who contributed to the success of previous Musandam Winter Seasons. Sayyid Ibrahim bin Saeed Al Busaidi emphasized that the season will help small and medium enterprises establish local partnerships and open up new opportunities. Raed bin Mohammed Al Shehhi, Head of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in Musandam Governorate, highlighted how the event has helped develop local businesses and provide entertainment solutions for residents.
