Khazaen Economic City in Barka, South Al Batinah Governorate, is set to open an innovative worker accommodation called “Al Maskan Village” by mid-2024, making it the first integrated labor accommodation offering sustainable solutions for investors in the economic zone. The residential complex, covering an area of over 55,000 square meters and with an investment value of OMR25 million, has seen more than 90 percent completion within just 22 months of signing the agreement to develop and operate the village. This rapid progress demonstrates Khazaen’s commitment to creating a fully equipped economic environment with enhanced health, safety, and sustainability facilities.

Eng. Salim Suleiman Al Dhuhli, CEO of Khazaen Economic City, highlighted that the Al Maskan Village project is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive support for workers within the economic zone. The village aims to establish proper social structures that facilitate everyday life and entertainment while aligning with the concept of sustainable cities. Al Dhuhli emphasized that the residential complexes within the workers’ village have been specifically designed with high specifications to ensure integrated living and comfort for employees and workers. Additionally, the facility will have an integrated service complex spanning 35,000 square meters, further enhancing the overall experience for residents.

The development of Al Maskan Village reflects Khazaen’s focus on creating a conducive environment for workers and investors alike, emphasizing the importance of providing quality accommodation while promoting sustainability measures. The project aligns with the city’s vision of enhancing the overall well-being of individuals residing within the economic zone. By offering state-of-the-art facilities and services, Al Maskan Village seeks to enhance the quality of life for workers, thus contributing to a more efficient and productive work environment. This approach not only benefits the residents but also serves as a key factor in attracting and retaining skilled labor in the region, ultimately driving economic growth and development.

Khazaen Economic City’s dedication to furnishing an integrated economic environment extends beyond the physical infrastructure of Al Maskan Village. The city’s commitment to health, safety, and sustainability is evident in every aspect of the project, from the design of the residential complexes to the development of the service complex. By incorporating sustainable practices and ensuring the well-being of workers, Khazaen is setting a new standard for labor accommodation in the region. This holistic approach not only enhances the living conditions for residents but also contributes to the city’s overall success as a sustainable and thriving economic hub.

With the completion of Al Maskan Village on the horizon, Khazaen Economic City is poised to further strengthen its position as a leading destination for investors and workers seeking a sustainable and well-equipped environment. The city’s focus on creating innovative solutions for labor accommodation underscores its commitment to fostering economic growth and development while prioritizing the welfare of residents. By offering a comprehensive and integrated living experience, Khazaen is not only attracting top talent but also creating a vibrant and sustainable community that benefits all stakeholders. As the city continues to evolve and expand, projects like Al Maskan Village will play a crucial role in shaping its future success and sustainability.
