The second international exhibition for dates and honey, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources in collaboration with Asaas Company, is set to kick off at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event, which will run for several days, aims to provide a platform for companies and exporters from the Gulf and Arab countries to showcase their date and honey products. The exhibition also seeks to promote trade in the field of dates and honey, introduce participants to the quality of products in Oman, and encourage investment in the industry.

The opening of the exhibition will be sponsored by Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al-Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources. The event is expected to attract small and medium-sized commercial companies, institutions, and entrepreneurs from both inside and outside Oman. The first edition of the exhibition, held in October 2023, saw participation from 13 countries and 150 companies, including producers, exporters, packaging companies, and food manufacturers specializing in dates and honey products.

One of the key objectives of the International Dates and Honey Exhibition is to showcase the latest technological advancements in the industry, including innovations, quality systems, and production mechanisms. The event also aims to facilitate knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities for participants to learn about global best practices. By increasing awareness of technological developments and promoting investment in the sector, the exhibition hopes to enhance the competitiveness of dates and honey, open new markets, and foster growth within the industry.

In addition to promoting trade and investment, the exhibition serves as a platform for countries and exhibitors to exchange knowledge and experiences in the field of dates and honey. By bringing together a diverse range of industry stakeholders, the event aims to foster collaboration and partnerships that can drive innovation and growth. Participants will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of products, services, and technologies related to dates and honey, as well as gain insights into consumer preferences and market trends.

The International Dates and Honey Exhibition highlights the importance of the dates and honey industry in Oman and the broader region. By showcasing the diversity and quality of products available, the event aims to raise awareness of the sector’s economic significance and potential for growth. Through collaboration and knowledge-sharing, the exhibition seeks to create a platform for dialogue and engagement that can drive positive change and innovation within the industry.

Overall, the second edition of the International Dates and Honey Exhibition promises to be a valuable opportunity for industry stakeholders to come together, explore new opportunities, and showcase their products and services. By providing a platform for networking, learning, and collaboration, the event aims to drive growth and innovation in the dates and honey industry and promote Oman as a key player in the global market. With a focus on technology, quality, and investment, the exhibition is poised to create new opportunities for participants and contribute to the sustainable development of the sector.
