Al Mussanah will be hosting the “Citizenship and Digital Citizenship in Higher Education Curricula: Sustainable Horizons” forum, which is set to take place tomorrow under the patronage of Major General Khalifa Ali Al Siyabi and in the presence of H. E Dr. Said Hamad Al Rubaie. The forum aims to instill the values of citizenship among university students in order to align with global and regional developments, while also strengthening their sense of belonging to their nation and community. In addition, the forum will focus on raising awareness about individual social responsibility, promoting harmony among different societal segments, encouraging dialogue, understanding, and acceptance of others, and motivating active participation in social, economic, and political spheres.

The forum will kick off at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences branch in Al Mussanah, featuring a variety of activities including keynote speeches, workshops, presentations, a student debate competition, and interactive discussion sessions. These sessions are designed to engage participants in meaningful conversations and activities that will help them develop a deeper understanding of the importance of citizenship and digital citizenship in today’s world. By fostering a sense of responsibility towards society, the forum aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to actively contribute to their communities and the nation as a whole.

One of the key objectives of the forum is to promote the values of citizenship and digital citizenship in the higher education curricula, ensuring that students are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of the modern world. By emphasizing the importance of active participation in various aspects of life, the forum seeks to empower students to become responsible, engaged citizens who are committed to making positive contributions to society. By fostering dialogue, understanding, and acceptance of others, the forum aims to promote inclusivity and diversity within the university community, creating a supportive and welcoming environment for all students.

The forum will also serve as a platform for students to engage in debates, workshops, and other interactive activities that will help them develop a deeper understanding of the issues surrounding citizenship and digital citizenship. By encouraging students to actively participate in these activities, the forum aims to foster a sense of empowerment and agency among the participants, enabling them to take ownership of their role in society and make meaningful contributions to their communities. Through these engaging and thought-provoking activities, students will have the opportunity to collaborate with their peers, share their perspectives, and develop new insights that will enrich their educational experience.

In addition to the scheduled activities, the forum will provide an opportunity for students to network with experts and professionals in the field of citizenship and digital citizenship, enabling them to gain valuable insights and perspectives from experienced practitioners. By facilitating these connections, the forum aims to inspire students to explore career opportunities in the field of citizenship and digital citizenship, empowering them to make informed decisions about their future academic and professional paths. By providing students with access to industry experts and practitioners, the forum aims to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the rapidly evolving digital landscape, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Overall, the “Citizenship and Digital Citizenship in Higher Education Curricula: Sustainable Horizons” forum in Al Mussanah promises to be a dynamic and engaging event that will inspire, educate, and empower students to become responsible, engaged citizens. By fostering dialogue, understanding, and acceptance of others, the forum aims to promote inclusivity and diversity within the university community, creating a supportive and welcoming environment for all students. Through a series of interactive activities and presentations, the forum aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to navigate the complexities of the modern world and make meaningful contributions to society.
