Chairman of the Strategic Defence Studies Academy inspects military drill ‘Decisiveness’

Muscat: Maj. Gen Hamid Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, recently observed the annual military drill “Al Hazm” or “Decisiveness” conducted by the Joint Command and Staff College from June 30 to July 11, 2024. This drill is being carried out in conjunction with the annual strategic exercise “Decision Making-11”. Maj. Gen Hamid was welcomed by Brigadier Saif Hamad Al Yousifi, Commandant of the Joint Command and Staff College, before being briefed on the progress of the drill.

The annual military drill “Al Hazm” is a crucial training exercise for the armed forces, focusing on enhancing strategic decision-making and operational readiness. It also serves as an opportunity to test and improve coordination among different branches of the armed forces. The participation of Maj. Gen Hamid in observing the drill highlights the importance of continuous training and preparedness for the armed forces to respond effectively to any potential threats and challenges.
