In his address to the gathering, His Excellency Amit Narang highlighted India’s growing role in global agricultural exports and its potential to contribute significantly to the global food supply chain. A comprehensive Market Study Report on the food, agriculture, and marine sectors was launched during the event, outlining key opportunities and strategies for enhancing trade between the two nations. The visit of the Indian delegation to Oman also included discussions with Ambassador Narang, reaffirming the commitment to future collaboration and the strengthening of trade ties.

The delegation’s visit to Oman provided a platform to showcase India’s capabilities and explore new business opportunities with Omani counterparts. The strong bilateral economic and trade relations between India and Oman underscore a history of shared interests and values, resulting in significant growth in trade volumes across various sectors. The bilateral trade volume between the two nations more than doubled from USD 5.4 million in 2020-21 to USD 12.3 billion in 2022-23, reflecting the strength of their economic partnership.
As India continues to expand its agricultural exports and enhance its presence in global markets, collaborations such as the India-Oman B2B Meet play a crucial role in fostering closer ties between businesses in both countries. The event served as a platform for Indian companies to showcase their products and explore partnerships with Omani importers, leading to potential growth opportunities for both parties. With a focus on sectors where India excels, such as agriculture and food products, the B2B Meet aimed to further strengthen economic relations and pave the way for increased trade between India and Oman.
The presence of key dignitaries and government officials at the event highlights the significance of India-Oman trade relations and the commitment of both nations to exploring avenues for economic cooperation. By leveraging India’s expertise in agriculture and food production, the B2B Meet sought to create a conducive environment for business collaborations and partnerships between Indian exporters and Omani importers.
