Escape the summer heat in Muscat by indulging in the refreshing offerings of Al Waha at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah. This family-friendly oasis, meaning ‘oasis’ in Arabic, is the largest of the three resorts within the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah complex. With its dedicated amenities and welcoming atmosphere, Al Waha caters to families looking for a retreat. Nestled in Barr Al Jissah bay, the resort boasts a pristine beach, crystal-clear waters, and dramatic mountain scenery, providing the perfect escape for local residents during the scorching summer months.

Al Waha goes above and beyond to cater to families, offering a plethora of amenities such as the Kids Club, lazy river, dedicated kid’s pool, secluded spa, and the splash pad. The resort’s 262 rooms, designed in traditional Dhofari architectural style, offer sparkling sea or lush garden views from private balconies or furnished patios. The blend of tradition and luxury is evident in every aspect of the resort, from the Arabic architecture to the modern amenities provided in each room.

Guests at Al Waha can enjoy a variety of activities, both on land and in the water. From beach volleyball and tennis to the Splashpad water play area and lazy river, there is something for all age groups to enjoy. The Cool Zone kids’ club offers supervised activities for children, while the Surf Cafe provides a teen-friendly space with healthy fast-food options and social games. Adults can unwind at the Chi, The Spa, which offers a range of soothing treatments and relaxation experiences.

Dining at Al Waha is a culinary delight, with diverse options ranging from international cuisine at Samba to contemporary Italian dishes at Capri Court. The resort also offers light bites and refreshments at the Surf Cafe, as well as panoramic views and cocktails at the Al Waha Lobby Lounge. Guests looking for a fine dining experience can head to Sultanah for Mediterranean cuisine. For those who prefer a more casual dining experience, the Assira pool bar serves light and healthy snacks alongside ice-cold beverages.

Shangri-La Al Waha in Muscat is the ideal destination for a staycation, offering a sanctuary for families seeking luxury, comfort, and adventure. With its extensive amenities, breathtaking views, and diverse dining options, the resort promises an unforgettable experience in Oman. The staycation package at Al Waha is currently priced at OMR 60 net per couple with 2 kids below six years of age, inclusive of breakfast. Retreat to Al Waha at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah and experience the perfect blend of relaxation and excitement in the heart of Muscat.
