Algerian President has arrived in Oman

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria arrived in Muscat for a three-day state visit to Oman, where he was greeted by Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. The Algerian President was welcomed with a reception by various high-ranking officials, including the Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs and the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court. Following a guard of honour by the Royal Guard of Oman, Tebboune and Sultan Haitham proceeded to the Al Alam Palace guesthouse.

Accompanying President Tebboune on his visit is an official delegation comprising various ministers, including those of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Energy and Mines, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Housing, Urban Planning, and Trade and Exports Promotion. The purpose of the visit is to discuss areas of cooperation and partnership that benefit both countries and their populations. Additionally, the leaders will exchange viewpoints on regional and international matters, with a focus on finding peaceful resolutions that promote regional stability.

The visit of President Tebboune to Oman is expected to strengthen the existing bilateral relationship between the two countries. The discussions between the Algerian President and Sultan Haitham will highlight areas where cooperation can be enhanced, particularly in the fields of trade, energy, education, and urban planning. Through these dialogues, both leaders aim to foster a deeper understanding of each other’s perspectives and work towards shared goals for the benefit of their nations.

As part of the state visit, President Tebboune and Sultan Haitham will also address current global issues that impact their countries and the wider region.
