The voter list for the Council of Representatives election in the first constituency of Muharraq Governorate has been displayed at the Supervisory Committee for Integrity. This initiative was announced by Chancellor Nawaf Abdullah Hamza, the Chairman of the Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission, and Advisor Nawaf Abdullah Hamza, the Executive Director of the By-Election for Membership in the Council of Representatives. The display of the voter list will take place from Sunday, 21st July, until Saturday, 27th July. This move is in line with Decree-Law No. (14) of 2002, which requires the voter list to be displayed at least 45 days before the scheduled election date. The executive management of the elections has completed all technical, logistical, and administrative preparations to welcome voters at the Supervisory Committee for the Integrity of the Council of Representatives election in the first constituency of Muharraq Governorate, located at Al-Busaiteen Intermediate Girls’ School, during the announced period from 5pm to 9pm.

In addition to the physical display at the Supervisory Committee, the voter list will also be available online on the official elections website vote.bh. This online availability will enable voters to easily check their constituency and submit any requests for changes or corrections to their information without needing to visit the centres in person. Chancellor Hamza emphasized the importance for voters to ensure that their ID card information is up-to-date, including the expiry date, and to submit any registration or correction requests during the display period. This is crucial to ensure that the list is finalized and unchallengeable before the final approval stage by the judges.

The process of displaying the voter list both physically and online aims to ensure transparency and accessibility for voters during the upcoming Council of Representatives election in Muharraq Governorate. By providing multiple avenues for voters to access and review the voter list, the election committee is facilitating a smooth and efficient election process. The availability of the list online on the official elections website simplifies the process for voters to check their information and make any necessary changes or corrections, thereby reducing the need for physical visits to the display centers.

This proactive approach to displaying the voter list demonstrates the commitment of the election committee to conducting a fair and transparent election process. By adhering to the provisions of Decree-Law No. (14) of 2002 and ensuring that the voter list is accessible both physically and online, the committee is empowering voters to participate in the democratic process with confidence. The availability of the voter list online on the official elections website eliminates barriers for voters and streamlines the process of checking and updating their information, ultimately contributing to a successful and inclusive election.

As the display period for the voter list commences, voters are encouraged to take advantage of the online accessibility of the list on the official elections website. By checking their constituency and verifying their information online, voters can make any necessary changes or corrections in a timely manner. This proactive step will ensure that voters’ information is accurate and up-to-date before the final approval stage by the judges, thus solidifying the integrity and accuracy of the voter list for the Council of Representatives election in the first constituency of Muharraq Governorate.
