The Bahrain Ministry of Tourism has recently announced two major waterfront projects that are set to transform the country’s tourism landscape. The first project, the Galali Coast Waterfront, is located in the Muharraq Governorate and is expected to be completed by the end of the second quarter of 2024. This 100,000-square-metre development will include commercial stores, sports fields, a water sports centre, food truck zones, and two beaches. The second project, the Bahrain Bay Beach, situated in the northern part of the Bahrain Bay area, will feature a public beach and four plots for beach club activities.

The Galali Coast Waterfront is a significant development that will offer a range of facilities and amenities for tourists and locals alike. With a total cost of 20 million Bahraini dinars, this project aims to enhance the tourism experience in the Muharraq Governorate. The Bahrain Ministry of Tourism plans to create a vibrant waterfront destination with a mix of commercial, recreational, and dining options. The project is expected to attract visitors from across the region and contribute to the overall economic growth of the country.

On the other hand, the Bahrain Bay Beach project is another important initiative that seeks to further enhance the tourism offerings in the Capital Governorate. With a total area of 173,000 square meters, this beach development will include a public beach as well as plots for beach club activities. The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority will be supervising the development of the public beach, while private sector companies will be responsible for managing the beach club activities in the designated plots.

In addition to the waterfront projects, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority is partnering with the Masar Group to introduce a new sea taxi service. This service aims to provide convenient transportation options for tourists visiting popular attractions in Bahrain. The first phase of the sea taxi project is expected to launch later this year, connecting the Saada area with key tourist sites such as the Bahrain National Museum, Avenues Mall, Bahrain Bay, and the Al Fateh Corniche.

Overall, these waterfront projects and the sea taxi service are part of the government’s efforts to boost tourism in Bahrain and attract more visitors to the country. By investing in new and innovative tourism initiatives, the Bahrain Ministry of Tourism aims to create unique experiences for tourists while also supporting the growth of the local economy. With the completion of these projects, Bahrain is set to become a premier destination for tourists seeking a mix of cultural, recreational, and leisure experiences.
