The opening of the “Still Nature” exhibition in Bahrain was a significant cultural event, attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs. Organized by the Bahrain Contemporary Art Association, the exhibition showcased the work of 17 young Bahraini artists, highlighting their talent and artistic vision. The collection featured a variety of artistic media and techniques, including paintings, drawings, and mixed media works, each offering a unique perspective on Bahrain’s natural environment.

The Bahrain Contemporary Art Association, established in Manama 54 years ago, is one of the Kingdom’s oldest artistic institutions. Its membership consists of artists from diverse backgrounds, reflecting a spirit of collaboration and growth in the arts community. The association traces its roots back to an artistic gathering initiated by Karim Al-Arayedh, with founding members such as Rashid Al-Arifi and Hussein Al-Sunni. Over the years, the association has grown in stature, hosting its first exhibition in 1971 and continuing to promote artistic expression in Bahrain.

During the inauguration of the exhibition, Minister Bin Dainah commended the young artists for their depiction of Bahrain’s natural landscapes, praising the high quality of their work. He emphasized the importance of capturing the beauty of the Kingdom’s environment through art, as a way to preserve and celebrate Bahraini identity. The Minister also expressed his best wishes for the success of the exhibition, hoping that it would inspire further artistic endeavors and contribute to the rich cultural heritage of Bahrain.

“Still Nature” not only showcases the beauty of Bahrain’s landscapes but also serves as a platform for artists to express their creative interpretations of the natural environment. Through their art, the participating artists offer a glimpse into their individual styles and perspectives, capturing the essence of Bahrain’s diverse landscapes. The exhibition aims to foster appreciation for the Kingdom’s natural beauty while celebrating the artistic talents of Bahraini youth.

With a diverse range of artworks on display, from traditional paintings to contemporary mixed media works, “Still Nature” presents a comprehensive overview of Bahrain’s artistic landscape. The exhibition reflects the evolution of artistic expression in the Kingdom, highlighting the growth and innovation within the local art scene. By providing a platform for young artists to showcase their work, the exhibition contributes to the cultural vibrancy of Bahrain and promotes the development of the arts sector in the country.

In conclusion, the “Still Nature” exhibition in Bahrain represents a convergence of artistic talent, creative expression, and cultural celebration. Through their artwork, the participating artists have captured the essence of Bahrain’s natural landscapes, offering a unique perspective on the Kingdom’s identity. The exhibition serves as a testament to the thriving art community in Bahrain, showcasing the diverse styles and techniques of local artists. As a significant cultural event, “Still Nature” not only enriches the artistic landscape of Bahrain but also contributes to the ongoing legacy of cultural heritage preservation in the Kingdom.
