The 13th edition of “Youth City 2030” is set to begin, under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, with the aim of equipping young people with skills for the labor market. The Ministry of Youth Affairs is collaborating with strategic partner Tamkeen to offer 4,000 training slots across 148 programs over six weeks. Morning sessions are tailored for ages 9 to 14, while evening programs cater to those aged 15 to 35, with a focus on identifying and nurturing Bahraini youth talent to enhance their competitiveness in the job market.

The city features five centers with specialized training programs. The Arts and Culture Center offers courses in drawing, painting, cooking, fashion design, interior design, and more. The Science and Technology Center covers areas such as agriculture, renewable energy, cybersecurity, and electronic game design. The Sports and Health Center provides courses in health, nutrition, fitness, football, physiotherapy, and more. The Media and Entertainment Center offers training in photography, graphic design, journalism, and media presentation. The Leadership and Entrepreneurship Center focuses on life skills, leadership, entrepreneurship, and communication skills.

Her Excellency Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, recently inspected the preparations at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre for the launch of Youth City 2030. The initiative is designed to enhance the abilities of young people to succeed in the labor market. With a wide range of programs in different areas, the event aims to empower Bahraini youth and provide them with the necessary skills for future career opportunities.

The variety of courses offered at Youth City 2030 cover a broad spectrum of fields, from arts and culture to science and technology, sports and health, media and entertainment, and leadership and entrepreneurship. By focusing on developing skills that are in demand in the job market, the event seeks to bridge the gap between education and employment for young Bahrainis. The training programs are carefully crafted to enhance the talents and capabilities of participants, preparing them for success in their chosen fields.

With the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the collaboration between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Tamkeen, Youth City 2030 is poised to make a significant impact on the youth of Bahrain. By providing hands-on training and guidance in various fields, the event aims to empower young people to take charge of their futures and pursue rewarding career paths. With a focus on practical skills and real-world applications, Youth City 2030 is setting the stage for a generation of skilled and competitive Bahraini youth in the global job market.
