The 13th edition of “Youth City 2030” is set to begin, under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, with the aim of equipping young people with skills for the labor market. The Ministry of Youth Affairs is collaborating with strategic partner Tamkeen to offer 4,000 training slots across 148 programs over six weeks. Morning sessions are tailored for ages 9 to 14, while evening programs cater to those aged 15 to 35, with a focus on identifying and nurturing Bahraini youth talent to enhance their competitiveness in the job market.
The city features five centers with specialized training programs. The Arts and Culture Center offers courses in drawing, painting, cooking, fashion design, interior design, and more. The Science and Technology Center covers areas such as agriculture, renewable energy, cybersecurity, and electronic game design. The Sports and Health Center provides courses in health, nutrition, fitness, football, physiotherapy, and more. The Media and Entertainment Center offers training in photography, graphic design, journalism, and media presentation. The Leadership and Entrepreneurship Center focuses on life skills, leadership, entrepreneurship, and communication skills.
Her Excellency Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, recently inspected the preparations at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre for the launch of Youth City 2030. The initiative is designed to enhance the abilities of young people to succeed in the labor market.
