Southern Municipality Initiates Crackdown on Illegal Street Vendors

The Southern Municipality in Bahrain recently carried out a campaign to remove illegal street vendors in the Ras Zuwayed area, blocks 951 and 952. Working alongside the Southern Governorate’s Police Directorate and other relevant authorities, the municipality confiscated 43 display mats and platforms used by vendors to sell goods like damaged vegetables, spoiled fruits, and improperly stored fish. Four vehicles and buses used for illegal sales were also seized during the operation.
