Shakhura Park in Block 481 of the Shakhura area is set to reopen within 30 days, as per Northern Municipal Council representative Tariq Al Farsani. Renovation work is progressing well, with upgrades that will benefit residents of the fifth constituency. The park will feature a fresh coat of paint, new restrooms, and refurbished sports facilities including football, basketball, and volleyball courts. Additionally, shade structures will be installed over the children’s playgrounds to protect them from the sun and encourage outdoor play during morning hours.

One of the key enhancements to Shakhura Park is the use of solar energy to power the lighting, aligning with Bahrain’s commitment to renewable energy and carbon neutrality. This eco-friendly approach reflects the Kingdom’s efforts to embrace sustainable practices in its community projects. The park’s transformation aims to create a space that promotes physical activity and sports participation among children, fostering a healthy lifestyle and encouraging outdoor play.

The reopening of Shakhura Park is part of ongoing efforts to provide recreational spaces for all community members, with a focus on engaging children in active play. The park’s renovation reflects a commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, with the use of solar energy for lighting. Residents of the fifth constituency can look forward to enjoying the upgraded amenities and facilities at Shakhura Park, which will serve as a hub for outdoor activities and sports for all ages.

Acknowledging the support and assistance received in completing the renovation of Shakhura Park, Tariq Al Farsani expressed gratitude to key stakeholders including the Minister of Municipalities Affairs, Engineer Wael Mubarak; the Undersecretary of Municipalities Affairs, Engineer Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa; and the Director General of the Northern Municipality, Engineer Lamia Al Fadala. Their collaboration and commitment have been instrumental in turning the vision for Shakhura Park into reality, benefiting the local community and contributing to a sustainable and vibrant neighborhood.

The reopening of Shakhura Park represents a significant milestone in the development of the fifth constituency, offering residents a revitalized outdoor space for recreation and sports. The comprehensive upgrades to the park’s facilities and amenities demonstrate a commitment to promoting active lifestyles and creating inclusive play spaces for children. The use of solar energy for lighting underscores Bahrain’s dedication to environmental sustainability and renewable energy practices, setting a positive example for future community projects.

With the completion of the renovation work at Shakhura Park, residents can look forward to enjoying a modern and eco-friendly outdoor space that caters to their recreational and sporting needs. The park’s reopening within 30 days signals a new chapter in the community’s efforts to provide accessible and sustainable leisure facilities for all ages. As Shakhura Park prepares to welcome visitors once again, it stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts of local stakeholders and officials in enhancing the quality of life for residents of the fifth constituency in the Northern Governorate.
