Russia has recently expressed its support for His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s call for an international peace summit to enhance calm and safety in the Middle East. This backing was demonstrated during high-level discussions between the two countries, with Russia commending Bahrain’s efforts in promoting dialogue and global peace. The Russian delegation emphasized the importance of collaboration and joint efforts in ensuring security and stability worldwide, especially in today’s turbulent global environment. These talks occurred during the 45th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) from October 17-23.

The meeting between Bahrain’s parliamentary delegation, led by MP Ahmed Qarata and Talal Mohammed Al Mannai, and their Russian counterparts, led by Sholban Kara-ool and Hamzaev Besoltan Sultanbievich, centered on strengthening bilateral ties. Both sides explored ways to enhance the relationship between Bahrain and Russia, including closer cooperation in legislation and diplomacy, as well as the exchange of expertise in rule-making and legal affairs. They also discussed shared concerns in the region and globally, with special attention given to Russia’s efforts in maintaining peace and stability in the area.

The Bahraini delegation expressed its desire to establish stronger economic and trade connections with Russia, highlighting the significant opportunities for collaboration in areas such as energy, investment, education, and healthcare. The Russian representatives acknowledged the increasing cooperation between the two countries and lauded Bahrain’s role in safeguarding peace and stability in the region. They expressed their admiration for Bahrain’s efforts and indicated their willingness to further enhance the partnership.

Overall, the discussions between Bahrain and Russia reflected a mutual commitment to fostering cooperation and collaboration in various fields. The positive feedback from the Russian delegation regarding Bahrain’s role in regional security and stability signifies a promising outlook for future bilateral relations. By emphasizing the importance of working together and exchanging knowledge and resources, both nations aim to contribute to global peace and security while strengthening their diplomatic and economic ties.

In conclusion, Russia’s endorsement of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s proposal for an international peace summit underscores the significance of promoting dialogue and cooperation among nations in the Middle East. The fruitful discussions between Bahrain and Russia during the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly serve as a testament to their shared commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and addressing common challenges. Through continued engagement and partnership, both countries can contribute to a safer and more stable world while tapping into the vast opportunities for collaboration in various sectors.
