Maqabah is set to welcome its fourth green space, a solar-powered park equipped with modern sports facilities that has received initial approval from the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs. The park, located in Block 513, will cover 8,824 square meters and feature attractions such as a full-sized football pitch and a children’s playground. With a focus on sustainability, the park will have solar-powered lighting and designated parking areas to ensure easy access for visitors.

Northern Municipal Council member Tariq Al Farsani explained that the park aims to meet the needs of the growing population in the area by offering top-tier sports facilities and contemporary conveniences. The park will also include a padel court, sports fields, and other features that reflect modern standards. Al Farsani emphasized the importance of green spaces in creating healthier and more liveable environments for communities, aligning with Bahrain’s vision for sustainable development.

The park’s design, as seen in a 3D rendering, includes shaded seating areas and walkways to enhance its appeal as a relaxing retreat for visitors. With an area dedicated to a children’s playground covering 1,650 square meters and a padel court occupying 200 square meters, the park promises to be a family-friendly spot for residents of Maqabah and surrounding areas. Al Farsani expressed gratitude towards the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs for their swift response to the proposal, highlighting the growing importance of expanding green spaces across Bahrain.

The project is currently in the tender preparation phase, with work expected to begin at the start of the next year. The park’s focus on sustainability through solar-powered lighting aligns with Bahrain’s broader shift towards greener public spaces, reflecting a commitment to eco-friendly urban developments. Al Farsani noted the significance of parks in providing recreational opportunities for residents and emphasized how such projects contribute to creating a healthier and more liveable environment for communities in Bahrain.

As part of efforts to establish one of the top parks in the area, the park in Maqabah will offer contemporary conveniences and top-tier sports facilities. The project’s comprehensive approach to landscaping and design aims to cater to the increasing demand for eco-friendly urban developments in the region. With designated parking areas for easy access and expansive green spaces, the park seeks to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages. Al Farsani highlighted the significance of the project in creating a more sustainable and vibrant community in Maqabah, with a focus on promoting healthy lifestyles and recreational opportunities for residents.
