The Ministry of Youth Affairs in Bahrain, under the leadership of Her Excellency Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, has taken significant steps to engage with Bahraini youth and involve them in decision-making processes. Through various initiatives and programmes, the Ministry aims to understand the ideas and perspectives of young people on development issues in the Kingdom and empower them to shape the future. This approach reflects the government’s commitment to investing in the potential and energy of youth, recognizing their ability to communicate, innovate, and contribute to the nation’s competitiveness.

One of the key initiatives introduced by the Ministry is the “Dialogue” platform, which provides a space for young people to share their opinions and ideas on a range of topics. During a recent meeting with a group of young Bahrainis, the Minister of Youth Affairs discussed the importance of listening to the youth and considering their suggestions for future endeavours. The focus was on empowering youth and designing programmes that align with their visions, ensuring that their voices are heard and their contributions are valued.

The Minister outlined the government’s strategy for youth development, which aims to create opportunities for young people to excel intellectually, creatively, and productively. This strategy is in line with Bahrain’s broader developmental ambitions across different sectors, providing avenues for youth to enhance their capabilities and undertake projects that benefit society. By fostering an environment where young people can actively contribute to societal development, the Ministry is paving the way for a brighter future for Bahrain.

The meeting with young Bahrainis addressed a range of key issues that are relevant to their lives and aspirations. The Minister listened attentively to their visions and aspirations, exploring ways to further develop their skills and knowledge. The dialogue not only provided young people with an opportunity to voice their opinions but also demonstrated that their perspectives are valued and taken into consideration in the decision-making process. This engagement is instrumental in ensuring that the concerns and ideas of Bahraini youth are at the forefront of policy discussions and initiatives.

The youth who participated in the meeting expressed their satisfaction with the opportunity to engage directly with the Minister and discuss important issues. They appreciated the platform provided by the Ministry to share their thoughts and ideas and were encouraged by the government’s commitment to listening to their voices. Such interactions are crucial in building trust and fostering a sense of inclusion among young people, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to the development of their nation.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Youth Affairs in Bahrain is making strides in engaging with young people and empowering them to play an active role in shaping the future of the Kingdom. Through initiatives like the “Dialogue” platform and ongoing discussions with youth, the Ministry is ensuring that Bahraini youth are heard, valued, and supported in their aspirations. By investing in the potential and capabilities of young people, the government is laying the foundation for a prosperous and inclusive society, where every voice matters and every contribution counts.
