The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) recently announced the signing of two luxury hotels in the Kingdom of Bahrain under its iconic Taj brand. These greenfield projects mark IHCL’s first presence in Bahrain, further expanding its footprint in the Middle East. The Managing Director and CEO of IHCL, Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, expressed his excitement about introducing the Taj brand to Bahrain and growing its presence in key gateway cities around the world. With a portfolio of seven hotels, including four under development in the Middle East, these new hotels will strengthen IHCL’s presence in the MENA region.

The Taj resort in Hamala will feature 251 luxurious rooms designed to reflect the laid-back serenity of the island. The resort will offer luxury amenities, including multiple dining options, a swimming pool, and an exclusive beach club. Additionally, the resort will have wellness areas such as a gym and spa to provide guests with a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. With 1,200 sq.mt banquet facilities, the resort is set to become a key player in Bahrain’s emerging leisure sector.

The 200 room Taj hotel in Downtown Seef, Manama, will cater to both business travelers and tourists. The hotel will offer world-class wellness facilities, including a gym, spa, and swimming pool, as well as a variety of dining experiences. Banquet areas tailored for meetings, corporate events, and weddings will also be available at the hotel. Mr. Jalal Al Wazzan, Managing Director of Kingdom Projects W.L.L, expressed delight at welcoming the prestigious Taj brand to Bahrain and its potential to attract more tourists to the region.

Kingdom Projects W.L.L, the owner of the upcoming Taj hotels, is a pioneering real estate development firm known for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence. The company is driven by the Crown Prince’s Vision of 2030 and is dedicated to contributing to the development and growth of Bahrain’s tourism sector. With the addition of these hotels, IHCL will have a total of seven hotels in the Middle East, with four more under development. The partnership between IHCL and Kingdom Projects W.L.L highlights the commitment to enhancing Bahrain’s tourism sector and diversifying the national economy.
