His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has recently issued Decree (115) of 2024, establishing the Higher Authority for Hawar Islands Development in Bahrain. This Authority, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), is aimed at overseeing the development of the Hawar Islands. The Authority comprises various members, including government officials and representatives from the private sector.

The establishment of the Higher Authority for Hawar Islands Development is a significant step towards promoting sustainable development and economic growth in the region.
