The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) recently hosted a Think Talk event titled “Unlocking the Value of Electricity Diplomacy” in collaboration with the US Embassy in Bahrain. Dr. Lawrence E. Jones, Senior Vice President for International Programs at Edison Electric Institute (EEI) in the US, delivered a lecture on the mutual benefits of electricity diplomacy. With over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, Dr. Jones highlighted the potential for bilateral and multilateral engagement to enhance energy security through collaboration and mutual understanding among nations. The event aimed to show how electricity diplomacy can help mitigate the impacts of geopolitical challenges.

Dr. Lawrence E. Jones, an award-winning author, and seasoned practitioner provided insightful perspectives on the importance of electricity diplomacy in enhancing international relations and energy security.
