The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has announced that registration is now open for civilians, both male and female, to volunteer to join the Reserve Force. Eligible applicants must be Bahraini nationals between the ages of 18 to 55, with exemptions for certain individuals based on duty requirements. Applicants must have good conduct, no criminal record, and be medically fit for military service as determined by the BDF’s military medical committees. Relatives of military and civilian staff, as well as retirees of the BDF and the National Guard, are eligible to register for the Reserve Force.

The Reserve Force Law, established by Decree-Law (5) of 1987, along with the accompanying regulations and instructions, govern all rights and responsibilities of the Reserve Force as an auxiliary force for the BDF. Those interested in joining the Reserve Force can submit their applications through the official BDF website: https://www.bdf.bh/. This initiative aims to strengthen the BDF’s capabilities and readiness by allowing civilians to support and contribute to the country’s defense system.

By opening up registration to civilians, the BDF is providing an opportunity for individuals to actively participate in the defense of their country. The Reserve Force plays a crucial role in supporting the BDF during times of need, such as crises or emergencies. With the Reserve Force Law in place to regulate their activities, volunteers can be assured that they will have a clear understanding of their rights and duties within the force.

This call for volunteers to join the Reserve Force highlights the importance of national service and patriotism in Bahrain. By encouraging civilians to step up and contribute to the defense of their country, the BDF is fostering a sense of unity and solidarity among the people of Bahrain. As the country continues to face various challenges, having a strong and dedicated Reserve Force is essential in ensuring the safety and security of the nation.

Those interested in registering for the Reserve Force should ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria specified by the BDF. This includes being of Bahraini nationality, within the age range of 18 to 55, and having a clean record with no criminal convictions. Additionally, applicants must be medically fit for military service and pass the required medical examination. By upholding these standards, the BDF can ensure that the Reserve Force is comprised of capable and committed individuals.

In conclusion, the opening of registration for civilians to volunteer for the Reserve Force is a significant opportunity for individuals to actively participate in upholding the security and defense of Bahrain. By joining the Reserve Force, volunteers can support the BDF in times of need and contribute to the overall safety of the country. With the Reserve Force Law in place to regulate their activities, volunteers can be confident in understanding their rights and responsibilities within the force. This initiative further emphasizes the importance of national service and unity in Bahrain’s defense system.
