Bahrain’s success at the Paris 2024 Olympics has set the stage for even bigger dreams as the Kingdom gears up for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Team Bahrain’s remarkable achievement of bringing home two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze has put Bahrain at the forefront of the international sports arena. A grand reception was held at City Centre Bahrain to celebrate the historic win, where athletes Winfred Mutile Yavi, Akhmed Tazhudinov, Salwa Eid Naser, and Gor Tigran Minasyan received a hero’s welcome from enthusiastic crowds.
The gathering at City Centre Bahrain was a spectacular show of support and pride, not only for the athletes but for Bahrain’s growing prominence in global sports. Team Bahrain’s accomplishment has resonated across the GCC, symbolizing Bahrain’s rise as a sporting powerhouse. In an interview with The Daily Tribune, Faris Al Kooheji, Secretary General of Bahrain’s Olympic Committee, praised the outpouring of public support for the athletes. He expressed gratitude for the immense love and pride shown by the people for Bahrain’s Olympic medalists. Looking ahead to the 2028 Olympics, Al Kooheji shared Bahrain’s clear vision for continued success under the leadership of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. New strategies have already been implemented to achieve even greater success in Los Angeles, highlighting the leaders’ vision and passion for uplifting the sporting arena with Team Bahrain.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, under the patronage and guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, have laid the foundation for Bahrain’s next chapter in the world of sports. As Bahrain prepares for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, the nation is united in its vision of achieving even greater success on the global sports stage. The royal support and guidance have been instrumental in propelling Bahrain’s athletes to new heights of excellence.
