The Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society recently hosted the opening of its second art exhibition, “Entilaq 2”, featuring the work of talented Bahraini artists. The exhibition, held at the Safeya Ali Kanoo Hub for Arts and Handicrafts, will run until May 31st from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa Bin Duaji Al Khalifa, the Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, graced the event with her presence.
One of the artists featured at the exhibition is Noor Alsairafi, whose artwork is inspired by her love for nature, particularly butterflies. She aims to create a connection between the viewer and the natural world through the intricate patterns and vibrant colors in her pieces. Noor has participated in various exhibitions both locally and internationally, showcasing her talent and passion for art.
Badriya Abdulrahman shared her unique artistic techniques at the exhibition, which involve blending acrylic paint with coffee and incorporating stones and golden leaves into her horse paintings. She also showcased a piece made entirely of pure leather, demonstrating her versatility as an artist. Badriya believes that art is a way to release stress and has been painting since childhood, even teaching children how to paint.
Nadia Al Moosa, another talented Bahraini artist featured at the exhibition, prefers working with acrylic paints. Her artwork focuses on nature, landscapes, and traditional colorful glass windows and doors found in Bahraini homes in the past. Nadia explained that the time it takes to complete a piece varies depending on the artist’s mood, highlighting the personal and emotional aspect of the creative process.
Latifa Al Shaikh presented a thought-provoking painting at the exhibition that delves into the inner workings of the human mind. The piece, consisting of fifty-five questions, explores the chemistry of thoughts and feelings that individuals experience. Latifa believes that art is a powerful tool for relieving stress and escaping the chaos of daily life, a sentiment shared by many artists who use their creative talents as a form of self-expression.
The “Entilaq 2” exhibition is the second event organized by the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society, following the success of their inaugural exhibition. With a lineup of talented Bahraini artists showcasing their diverse talents and techniques, the organizers are confident that this year’s showcase will be well-received by the public. The exhibition provides a platform for local artistic talent to shine, fostering creativity and appreciation for the arts in Bahrain.
