His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, recently met with the Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, at 10 Downing Street. During this meeting, the Crown Prince emphasized the strong historical ties between Bahrain and the UK, which have been built over more than 200 years of collaboration and effective partnerships in various sectors.
The Crown Prince reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening the close ties between the two friendly nations and expanding joint efforts towards a more comprehensive future. He highlighted the importance of working together to achieve shared objectives and aspirations, in line with the broader development goals set by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Prince Salman praised the advanced levels of cooperation between Bahrain and the UK and emphasized the need to build upon existing strategic partnerships. He also recognized the UK’s significant role in bolstering security, peace, and development in the region and globally, expressing Bahrain’s support for all efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in the region.
The meeting between the Crown Prince and the UK Prime Minister also included discussions on matters of mutual interest and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation. The attendees included His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Ambassador of Bahrain to the UK, and Mr Hamad bin Yaqoub Al Mahmeed, Director General of the Office of the Prime Minister.
