Arab Summit leaders demand immediate halt to Israeli aggression in Gaza

The recent summit held in Manama focused on the ongoing crisis in the Arab world, particularly in Palestine, with leaders calling for immediate action to end the violence and provide support to the Palestinian people. H.E Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, stressed the need for joint efforts to implement a political solution for two states in the region, emphasizing the importance of recognizing international resolutions to ensure stability. The Arab League secretary general, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, highlighted the atrocities faced by women and children in the region and called for an end to the occupation and the implementation of a two-state solution.

Jordan’s King Abdulla II expressed concerns over the impact of the ongoing conflict on future generations and stressed the importance of supporting the Palestinian government and establishing an independent state. Mahmoud Abbas, president of Palestine, condemned the ongoing genocide and called for Arab support to end the occupation and ensure the release of seized funds. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed the need for peace and stability in the region, emphasizing the rights of the Palestinian people and the importance of international cooperation.

President of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, called for a united effort to end the violence and provide a state for the Palestinian people, emphasizing the need for a peaceful two-state solution. President of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, highlighted the urgency of ending the Israeli aggression and ensuring humanitarian aid reaches Gaza. Abdul Latif Rashid, president of Iraq, reiterated the country’s support for the Palestinian cause and the need for solidarity to achieve their aspirations.

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Azmi Mikati discussed the crisis facing Lebanon and the need for dialogue to restore stability, with a focus on resolving the Palestinian issue and achieving a two-state solution. Kuwait’s Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, condemned Israel’s aggression and called for international action to support the Palestinian people, emphasizing the importance of securing their legitimate rights to establish an independent state. Overall, the summit underscored the urgent need for cooperation and international support to address the ongoing crisis in the Arab world and achieve lasting peace in the region.
