The Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission (LLOC) in Bahrain has successfully translated all Bahraini legislations into English, dating back to 1948. This initiative aims to provide wider access to Bahraini legislation and showcase the kingdom’s advanced status in the legislative sector under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The translations are now available on the LLOC website, allowing concerned parties to learn about Bahraini legislation and promote an optimal and secure environment for investments.

Counselor Nawaf Abdullah Hamza, the President of LLOC, emphasized that the availability of all national legislation in English is a significant step towards showcasing the kingdom’s development in the sector and its alignment with international best practices and standards. This initiative aligns with Legislative Decree No. 27 of 2021, which permits the use of languages other than Arabic in Bahraini courts. The translation of laws upon their issuance has been streamlined through a mechanism set up by LLOC, ensuring prompt availability on the website for easy access by interested parties.

The English translations of Bahraini legislations not only facilitate a better understanding of the laws but also contribute to building a transparent and efficient legal system that promotes investment opportunities in the kingdom. This development reflects Bahrain’s commitment to promoting legal transparency and attracting foreign investments by providing a comprehensive and up-to-date repository of national legislation accessible to a wider audience. The effort to translate laws into English is a testament to the kingdom’s dedication to achieving excellence in the legislative sector and enhancing its reputation on the global stage.

The process of translating Bahraini legislations into English is a significant achievement that highlights the kingdom’s efforts to enhance legal transparency and promote a conducive environment for investments. By making the laws available in English, Bahrain is ensuring that domestic and international stakeholders have easy access to the legal framework governing various sectors. This move not only demonstrates the kingdom’s commitment to international standards but also reinforces its position as a leading hub for business and investment in the region.

The translation of Bahraini legislations into English is a step towards achieving greater legal harmonization and alignment with global standards, ultimately benefiting the business community and investors operating in Bahrain. By providing English versions of laws, Bahrain is breaking down language barriers and making it easier for foreign investors to navigate the legal landscape of the kingdom. This proactive approach to legal translation signifies Bahrain’s proactive efforts to foster a transparent and investor-friendly legal system that supports economic growth and development in the country.

In conclusion, the completion of translating all Bahraini legislations into English by the Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission is a significant milestone that highlights the kingdom’s commitment to legal transparency, international best practices, and attracting foreign investments. By providing an English version of laws dating back to 1948, Bahrain is ensuring that its legal framework is accessible to a wider audience, promoting a secure and favorable environment for investments. This initiative is a testament to Bahrain’s dedication to excellence in the legislative sector and its ongoing efforts to enhance legal efficiency and transparency on a global scale.
