This event was a significant milestone in promoting a culture of quality, excellence, and innovation within the government work environment, aligning with the principles of Oman Vision 2040.

## Celebrating Global Quality Week in Muscat
The ceremony was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Dr. Kamil bin Fahad Al Said, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers. Sayyid Dr. Munther bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Deputy Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, attended the event, highlighting the importance of quality initiatives in achieving the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. The event featured a visual presentation showcasing the activities undertaken during Global Quality Week and the participation of various government institutions.

## Promoting Quality and Excellence
A key aspect of the ceremony was a presentation on the Unit’s efforts to establish a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement within government entities. This initiative is crucial in driving Oman towards a leading position in performance, efficiency, and competitiveness, as envisioned in Oman Vision 2040. The event also included a segment by a group of school students, demonstrating the integration of quality concepts into the educational scene. This highlighted the awareness among the younger generation of the importance of quality as a value and behavior that contributes to building a distinguished knowledge society.

## Achievements and Recognition
The Global Quality Week celebrations were marked by significant achievements, with 15 government entities organizing external events aimed at raising awareness about the importance of quality and promoting a culture of excellence. Additionally, 15 internal events were conducted by other government entities, focusing on developing institutional capabilities and motivating employees to adopt quality practices. These events saw a participation of over 1,240 employees and beneficiaries, indicating a strong engagement with the quality initiatives. The ceremony concluded with the honoring of entities that presented qualitative initiatives in the fields of quality and institutional excellence, recognizing their contributions to the overall goal of enhancing government performance.

## Fostering a Culture of Quality
The success of Global Quality Week underscores the commitment of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit to fostering a culture of quality and excellence within government entities. By engaging a wide range of participants and promoting various initiatives, the Unit has taken significant steps towards achieving the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. As the country continues on its path of development, the emphasis on quality and innovation is expected to play a crucial role in driving progress and competitiveness.

The efforts to promote quality and excellence are not limited to government entities but also extend to the educational sector, as evident from the participation of school students in the ceremony. This holistic approach ensures that the principles of quality are ingrained across different aspects of Omani society, contributing to a more sustainable and comprehensive development.

In conclusion, the closing ceremony of Global Quality Week was a testament to the progress made by the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit in promoting a culture of quality and excellence. As Oman continues to strive towards its vision for 2040, the initiatives undertaken during Global Quality Week serve as a foundation for future developments, emphasizing the importance of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement in achieving a leading position in performance and competitiveness. The engagement of government entities, educational institutions, and the younger generation in these initiatives is a positive indicator of the country’s commitment to its development goals.
