World Heart Day is celebrated globally to raise awareness about heart health and prevent cardiovascular diseases. NMC Healthcare, one of the largest private healthcare networks in the UAE, is offering free health checks to UAE residents on September 29 at select malls and community shopping centers across the country. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains a leading cause of death worldwide, claiming over 20.5 million lives annually. Early detection, awareness, and simple lifestyle changes can prevent 80 percent of premature CVD deaths.

The free health checks provided by NMC Healthcare include tests for blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, and BMI measurements. UAE residents can visit the NMC kiosks during designated hours without appointments to undergo these basic health screenings. This initiative is part of NMC’s commitment to join the global call to raise awareness about heart health and accelerate actions to prevent, detect, and manage cardiovascular diseases. CEO David Hadley emphasized the importance of global health days as platforms to raise awareness, foster understanding, and mobilize support for critical health issues.

During the World Heart Day on September 29, free health screenings will be available at various locations across the UAE. In Abu Dhabi, residents can visit Khalidiya Mall, Al Forsan Mall, Yas Mall, and Bawabat Al Sharq Mall during specific hours for the health checks. In Al Ain, the screenings are available at Al Ain Mall, while in Dubai, NMC Royal Hospital DIP and Lulu Hypermarket Al Qusais are the designated locations. In Sharjah, residents can visit NMC Medical Centre Buhairah Corniche and NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah. Similarly, NMC Medical Centre in Ajman and NMC Royal Medical Centre in Ras Al-Khaimah will also offer free health screenings.

By providing free health checks on World Heart Day, NMC Healthcare aims to encourage UAE residents to prioritize their health and take proactive steps towards preventing cardiovascular diseases. The screenings include essential tests that can help individuals understand their current health status and make informed decisions about their lifestyle choices. Early detection through such screenings can lead to timely interventions and promote better heart health outcomes. NMC Healthcare’s initiative aligns with the global effort to raise awareness about heart health and highlight the significance of preventative measures in reducing the burden of cardiovascular diseases.

In conclusion, NMC Healthcare’s initiative to offer free health checks on World Heart Day underscores their commitment to promoting heart health awareness and encouraging preventive actions to combat cardiovascular diseases. By making these screenings easily accessible to UAE residents at various locations, NMC Healthcare aims to empower individuals to take charge of their health and prioritize preventive measures. Through early detection, awareness, and lifestyle changes, it is possible to prevent a significant number of premature deaths caused by cardiovascular diseases. Participating in the free health checks on World Heart Day can be a crucial step towards improving heart health and overall well-being.
