The fischer group of companies, a prominent German multinational manufacturer known for its fastening products for the construction and DIY industry, expects its UAE business to grow in double digits this year. The managing director of fischer MEA, Gurol Sevim, stated that the region holds great promise due to multiple construction projects ongoing and in the pipeline. The company has increased investments by 10% this year and plans to continue this momentum by expanding its manufacturing facilities in the UAE.

The fischer Group of Companies, headquartered in Waldachtal, Germany, generated sales of 1.16 billion euros in 2023. The company has a global workforce of around 4,700 employees in 52 companies and exports to approximately 120 countries. It operates through four divisions: fischer fixing systems, fischertechnik, fischer Consulting, and fischer Electronic Solutions.

The recent international expert forum held in Dubai brought together industry leaders, partners, and experts to discuss cutting-edge advancements in the construction sector. A key focus of the event was on sustainable building practices, innovation, and digital transformation. Sustainability was a central theme, with fischer reaffirming its commitment to environmentally responsible practices by introducing eco-friendly construction solutions.

Dr. Ronald Mihala of the fischer Group of Companies expressed excitement about hosting the International Expert Forum in Dubai, a city known for its dynamic growth and vision for the future. The company is dedicated to shaping the future of construction through innovation, digitalization, and sustainable practices. As a global player in the construction industry, fischer reiterated its commitment to sustainable growth and expanding its presence in international markets.

Experts discussed topics such as the integration of BIM (Building Information Modeling) into construction projects to enhance collaboration and streamline project management. Emerging technologies were highlighted as reshaping the construction landscape to create more efficient and sustainable building environments.

Professionals at the forum addressed the global need for rehabilitating aging infrastructure and shared innovative techniques to extend their lifespan. Fischer’s carbon fiber-based solutions and CFRP laminates for reinforcing concrete structures with minimal environmental impact were also introduced. Additionally, the forum served as a platform for fischer to unveil its latest product innovations designed to meet the evolving needs of the construction industry with a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and advanced technology integration.

Overall, the International Expert Forum highlighted fischer’s advanced solutions and its role as a forward-thinking leader committed to providing cutting-edge innovations for the challenges of tomorrow in the construction industry.
